Olympus TEAM CAMPS are happening THIS AUGUST!!

SIGN UP now for this team camp to receive 12 hours of tactical and technical training across three nights, from our top coaches at ATHENA + AJAX Volleyball.

Olympus Team Camp is designed and led by the Technical Directors of ATHENA/AJAX Volleyball; Remi Pourrat, Nir Ofer, and Jarrod Ferguson, who bring the highest level of experience and expertise (see below for descriptions).  This is a great opportunity to get a head start on the season with technical skill development, tactical outlooks on volleyball, and competitive play.

It is also a GREAT opportunity for coaching development, where we will teach new and proven teaching techniques for improving practices and the efficiency of drills to benefit your team best!  YOUR team will get to work with all of our expert coaching staff that include current or former collegiate players and coaches, as well as international club coaches.

 

Camp Dates:

Session 1: August 5-7: 4:30-8:30pm

Session 2: August 13-15: 4:30pm-8:30pm

 

Cost:

Total: $1800

Deposit due at time of registration: $500

Remaining due 2 weeks prior to camp start date.

Technical Director’s Experience:

Remi Pourrat has served in both the role of head coach and assistant coach for the most prominent boy’s club in France, AS Cannes Volley Ball, developing players between the ages of 11 – 20 years. He has coached within the French National Team development pipeline, from 2013 – 2016 winning the French Boy’s National Championship in 2013. In 2016 he served as an assistant coach to the Under-18 boy’s junior national team. In 2014-2015, he was an assistant coach of the professional team of Le Cannet Women’s Volleyball, winning the French Cup for the first time in the club history, and runner up of the French professional league.

In the US, he coached at Peak Volleyball Academy with Alfred Reft. He joined the Nebraska Volleyball program as a Graduate Assistant in 2021, helping the Huskers reach the final of the NCAA National Championship in 2021 and the Sweet 16 in 2022. Since his time at ATHENA Volleyball, he has head coached the 17 Gold and 18 Gold teams, winning a National Championship in 2023 with the 17 Gold team.

 

Nir Ofer is one of the highest experienced coaches in Olympus. He has been coaching over 20 years, including 7 years at the Division I level, with multiple women’s college volleyball programs, including UC Riverside, Towson University, and Winthrop University. He has lead camps and clinics across the country and world, training and consulting coaches in places like Japan, to improve their high-school or club volleyball program.

Before working at ATHENA/AJAX, he coached at both United Volleyball and Prime Volleyball Club, where he was Boys head coach for 17’s, and the assistant club director, where he earned multiple bids to USAV Nationals, respectively. Nir also coached at Performance Volleyball Academy where he was the Head Coach of the 17’s team that finished 3rd in Open of USAV Nationals.

Nir also has experience at the international level, where he was the USA Women's National Team Assistant Coach, in the Pan American Games in Chile, and the Head Coach of the Mens and Women's Chair teams for the Maccabiah World Games.

Nir currently coaches at ATHENA, where he is the Head Coach of the 17 Gold team who has recently earned their bid to USAV Nationals, taking place at Las Vegas in July.

 

Jarrod Ferguson recently joined ATHENA/AJAX volleyball club and has been coaching and playing volleyball at some of the highest level for over 10 years. Before he moved to Portland, Oregon, Jarrod was a graduate assistant at the University of Nebraska, where he helped the Huskers to the NCAA D1 National Championship in 2023, and the Sweet 16 in 2022. Whilst at his time in Nebraska, he also head coached the 15 Gold team at Volleyball Club Nebraska and was one of the lead coaches at the club. Jarrod currently coaches the 16 Gold team at ATHENA, who have recently qualified to USAV Nationals which is taking place in Las Vegas, this July. As well as, lead & technical coaching current academies at the club.

Prior to his coaching, Jarrod played Division 1 volleyball, as a setter in North Carolina, where he was named All-Conference First Team, All-Conference Tournament Team, and Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year, all in his final season. Born and raised in New Zealand, Jarrod brings a high level of experience with his coaching, bringing new and current training to the family at Athena.
