Erin Labasan

Originally from Lincoln City, OR, I played for Taft High School and one year with Salem Volleyball Club. After high school, I played four years of volleyball and one year of softball for Grinnell College (DIII, Midwest Conference). After living abroad for two years, I moved to West Seattle and coached one year of club volleyball before returning to my alma mater as an assistant coach. After two seasons, I moved to Massachusetts to assist the Smith College volleyball team (DIII, NEWMAC Conference) and pursue my master's degree in Exercise and Sport Studies, volunteering with a local 13s girls team and a boys high school JV team in the offseason. In 2018, I volunteered with the Davidson College volleyball program (DI, A10 Conference). I had the opportunity to return to my alma mater again in 2019, assisting with a team that made the DIII national tournament for the first time in program history.

In February 2022, I was hired as the head coach of Lewis & Clark College Volleyball (DIII, Northwest Conference), where I had the chance to work with fellow Athena coach Katie Shimaura, an LCVB record holder and 2022 All Conference Honorable Mention. Fun fact: I've done the NYT crossword every day for more than two years.
