Volleyball has been big part of Charley's life for nearly 40 years.  He began playing in high school and went on to play in college as the setter for the men's club team at the University of Washington.  After college, Charley continued playing in adult leagues and tournaments both indoors and out.  Charley spends most of his time coaching now, but don't be surprised if you catch a glimpse of him playing from time-to-time.

Charley is a very technical coach that emphasizes sound bio-mechanics and fundamentals while also imparting a deep understanding of game tactics and strategies. His ultimate goal is to provide an optimal environment where his players can grow to their fullest.

Charley also serves as an ATHENAVB/AJAXVB Administrator, Youth Technical Director, and Webmaster.

​

Charley is the current CEVA President, Junior Girl's Representative, and Junior Assembly Representative.
